Meet Your Design Team
Alisa Schumann graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Visual Arts and a minor in Architecture. She went on to complete the Graduate Architecture Program at the University of Oklahoma. Home design has always been her passion, and aside from becoming an Olympic freestyle skiing aerialist, it’s the only career she has ever wanted to pursue.
She began her career working on custom remodels for an architecture firm in Bozeman, Montana. She later moved from the Bridgers to the Rockies, continuing her design career in Denver with an interior design/build firm before joining Vantage Homes in 2017. Alisa brings a practical perspective to the art of interior design and enjoys helping homeowners find the right combination of finishes to make each home uniquely their own.
In her free time, Alisa and her husband stay busy with their two young daughters and enjoy spending time outdoors, often searching for live music in the park.

All purchasers listed on the contract should attend the Design Studio appointment. If you’re purchasing with a partner, we strongly encourage both of you to be present for every visit. We also recommend discussing your design preferences in advance so you’re aligned before your first appointment, helping make the process smoother and more enjoyable.
A little homework goes a long way! Here's how to come prepared:

Plan to invest approximately 4–6 hours total across your Design Studio appointments, with each individual session lasting about 2 hours. The more prepared you are, the more productive and enjoyable each session will be. In addition, you can expect two 1-hour appointments with our electrical specialists to finalize your electrical and low-voltage selections.
Most buyers complete the selection process in two Design Studio appointments, though up to three may be scheduled if needed. Because the Design Studio is a high-demand space, appointments are often booked weeks or even months in advance. Once your appointments are scheduled, we ask that you treat them as a priority. In addition, you will meet with our in-house electrical specialists to discuss your electrical and low-voltage selections, which typically require two 1-hour appointments.
You’ll make selections for both the interior and exterior of your home. This includes flooring, cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, paint colors, exterior color schemes, stone, and more. Our Design Studio features a wide range of samples and displays, allowing you to see and touch many of the options available. Pricing for all Design Studio selections is locked in at the time of your first appointment, so you don’t have to worry about price changes during the process.
